If you work in a startup or a small company, or would simply like to learn more about innovation, we're confident that you'll still learn a lot from the program, it's just that many of the practical processes, tools, and frameworks might not be as useful for you as they will be for people in the aforementioned positions.
The exact benefits and results obviously vary widely depending on what your current role is, how experienced an innovator you are, and how advanced your organization is, so it's very difficult to try to generalize these.
For beginners, the course provides a great overview on innovation, and on how to make it work in a large organization. It also walks you through the process of creating your own "Innovation System", comprising of strategy, processes, practices, etc., so if you're starting from a clean slate, you'll be getting all of that directly from the program, saving you a lot of time, money, and effort.

- Business unit budget

Alternatively, most medium and large companies have a budget for learning and continuous education of their employees, within which the Individual version of the program has been designed to fit, both in terms of the content, and the budget. Watching the videos, and browsing through the course material will take roughly 10 hours.
In addition, there are also practical exercises on most lessons that are designed to either:
A) help with your work on your innovation program
B) provide you with opportunities to reflect on where you currently are, and what could be the right steps going forward
These exercises are estimated to take the average innovation manager around 20 hours.
Depending on your own experience, and the maturity of your organization, this can take slightly less, and in some situations quite a bit longer than that. However, almost all of that work you're going to need to do at some point anyway, so it's not likely to go to waste.
For those who participate in the peer matchmaking and 1-on-1 coaching, those are expected to take an additional 8 hours each.
So, if you put all of that together, we're looking at approximately one full time work week.
However, for most, it isn't possible to take an entire week from all of the regular work you do at once, so what we recommend most people to do is to block half a day from their calendars for a period of roughly 8-10 weeks.
Of course, everything you do on the course is for your own good, so if you're pressed for time and there's a module or two you're the most interested in, you can just take those parts and get a lot of value from them with much less time spent.
